Template notice. This policy is provided as a structural starting point and should be reviewed against the exact behaviours you want to prohibit on your platform.

This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses the South Assistants Service — customers, their team members, Assistants, and candidates. It forms part of our Terms of Service.

1. Core principles

Use the Service legally, respectfully, and in good faith. Do not cause harm to us, our staff, our customers, or anyone they work with.

2. You will not

You may not use the Service, or direct an Assistant to use the Service, to:

  1. Engage in illegal activity under South African, EU, UK, or the customer's local law.
  2. Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against any person.
  3. Solicit, produce, or distribute child-sexual-abuse material, non-consensual intimate imagery, or content that incites violence.
  4. Send unsolicited bulk commercial email or operate a phishing, scam, or malware campaign.
  5. Attempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, probe, or disrupt the security of the Service.
  6. Infringe intellectual-property rights or misappropriate trade secrets.
  7. Process data in categories you have no lawful basis to process (for example, special-category personal data under GDPR Article 9 without valid consent or another lawful basis).
  8. Use the Service to build a competing talent-placement business.
  9. Direct Assistants to carry out work outside the reasonable scope agreed at onboarding, or outside normal working hours without prior agreement.

3. Our rights

3.1 We may suspend access to the Service without prior notice if we become aware of a material breach of this AUP that presents a risk to the Service, our staff, or other customers.

3.2 Where possible we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure minor breaches within 10 business days.

3.3 We may cooperate with law enforcement and regulators where required by law, and may report violations to relevant authorities.

4. Reporting abuse

If you believe someone is using the Service in breach of this AUP, please report it immediately to abuse@southassistants.com. Reports are reviewed within one business day.

5. Changes

We may update this AUP from time to time. Material changes are announced via in-product notice and email with at least 14 days' notice.
